Today is the hottest day of the trip so far! We begin the day by breaking down all the trees, packing up the ornaments, and boxing up the fake trees. One fake tree has busted lights so we will return that one. The live 12 ft tree is also broken down for easier disposal. We chop off all the branches, chop off the top, and chop off the upper trunk that the clippers can manage. We’ll slowly dispose of this tree on garbage day. After all that hard work, we decide to hike the loop in Bergen Park. It’s a nice walk – a bit chilly at first, but we all warm up by the end. We walk over to Parkside Cafe and wait outside for a table. It is really hot today. Would be nice to eat outside but the patio isn’t set up, since it is still winter. The food is absolutely delicious and we will be back! We are quite full from this meal so for dinner we make grissini and since this is also delicious, we eat it all. no leftovers.
