We start out the day by doing some training on the treadmill (or eating candy. Your choice: Fat Camp to get fat OR Fat Camp to lose fat. We didn’t clarify beforehand so it’s up to everyone’s own interpretation.). The hike of the day was going to be along Bear Creek but as we were driving there we decided to stop at Elk Meadow Park since Erika hasn’t been there yet. It’s better to hike this loop when the trails are not iced over so with the previous snowfall, today is a good day. The day is sunny and chilly. We are warm and cold throughout the hike but it is all pleasant. At one point mom wants someone to go under a tree so she can throw snow at them and take a picture. We nominate her so she goes under the tree to pose with Erika and Erika knocks snow off a branch and Mom receives an avalanche of snow. We finish the hike 30 minutes faster than the last time we hiked this loop in this direction. Progress!
