    Some featured areas we visited:

It’s Day 5 of our Switzerland trip and we are headed to Murren!

We have a lot of food to finish so we all do our part to eat granola, yogurt, ice cream bars, grapes, oranges, donuts, twirly rolled cakes, and other stuff we find. Once we are satisfied with the amount left we pack up and head up to the train station. We have a nice conversation with our London friend and he fills us in on the new reservation system on the trains.

The skies are pretty overcast in the Mürren area. The views on the gondola ride up the mountain and the train ride into Mürren are not as spectacular add usual but are still nice. The majority of our luggage was hauled up the mountain with the other cargo hanging under the gondola and attached to the back of the train. This was much more convenient than lugging the suitcases ourselves.

At Mürren we decided to have a quick lunch and then head out to another hike. We got some fresh bread from the store but the rest of the meal was the remaining leftovers. It was delicious.

Our hike plan was to go from Mürren to Gimmelwald then to Staubach Falls and back up to Mürren. We rode the gondola to Gimmelwald, hiked down the steep cliff to Stechelberg, took the bus to Staubach Falls, climbed the waterfall, then headed back up to Mürren by gondola and train. It was a great hike. The views were cloudy but still gorgeous!

Dinner was Spätzli, rosti, bacon, veggies, croissants and jam. We are always so hungry after our hiking adventures so the food always tastes amazing. We won’t talk about our dessert!! Later in the evening we drank hot chocolate and watched a slide show of our pictures for the day.

    1. So beautiful even in the fog and the rain. I see Sonja keeps you in line with her walking stick.

So appreciate your sharing this adventure travel with us! This brings me up to date in your lives. So glad we got to see Kristin in Denver a few years back.

      1. It was great seeing you and Sharon as well. I enjoyed hearing about your bike adventures.
We have yet to have a super clear day but we are enjoying the foggy views anyway! The walking sticks are doing their job – we are staying on the trail and at a good pace with plenty of rest stops for chocolate and oranges.
