We woke up early, too early for breakfast. It was raining. Found out it takes 3 hours to go from Zurich to Geneva by train. And an hour to get the Zurich. The first tain out was 4:54 AM. The flight from the US with every one arrived at 7:40. Not 8:40 like we thought. So we missed breakfast and got to enjoy the Swiss train system. Sunrise was pretty as it stopped raining while we were on the train.
Everyone had to wait at the Geneva airport about an hour since we had all the train tickets and the Swiss airport is so efficient at getting people out of the plane and into the country. The 2 old ladies in the front decided not to join our group.
The group at the airport

yes they were tired after a long flight and staying up all noight talking and the wedding

the younger crowd had more energy
We left the airport on the 1st train and had to transfer at Yverdes-les-baines. There was a 1 hour wait for the next train so wome of us visited the farmers market across the road.
Some one had to watch the suitcases as the rest of the group explored the local farmers market.

These cherries are not from our backyard tree. But based on the price the farmers were getting, we could have paid for part of the airfare if we knew we could have brought some and set up a stall.

Train depot near the manor we were dropped off the train left and wondered if we were at the wrong place.Saw a very old very large house without glass in the windows. Need pictures. Hoped that was not it. Asked for directions and told it was around the corner. We wlaked around the corner and saw the manor behind the hedge that surrounded it. The cast iron gate had a latch that took a bit of figuring out how to open.

Wow. We have the entire manor to ourselves. The manager was playing the piano inside as we arrived.
